Heather McCleery is a retired Las Vegas Metropolitan (Metro) Police Officer. She spent the majority of her career in the Patrol Bureau working out of the Enterprise Area Command. During her tenure with Metro she was recognized numerous times for her shooting abilities and became a Firearms Instructor for the department in 2006. She earned firearm instruction credentials from the LVMPD Adjunct Instructor Program, FBI Firearms Instructor Program and the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Master Instructor Program. In addition to her passion for firearms training, Heather was also a Field Training Officer.

Heather retired in 2015 after almost 20 years with the Metro. She is proud to have served more than half of her life with a superior Police Department. She values the many friendships made among peers, trainees and the community from which she patrolled. When she is not performing duties for the FOP, she is occupied with her three children and a photography business.

Heather joined the FOP in 2012. She currently holds the position of Vice President. She embraces the brothers and sisters of the Order both locally and nationally with admiration. She believes serving the FOP is venturesome calling and stands tall with law enforcement officers across the nation to improve the quality of life for all public servants bearing the burden of the Thin Blue Line.
