WE, the law enforcement officers of NEVADA do hereby unite and represent the members thereof together for the following purposes:
to support and defend the Constitution of the United States; and of the state of NEVADA; to inculcate loyalty and allegiance to the UNITED STATES of AMERICA; to promote and foster the enforcement of law and order; to improve the individual and collective proficiency of our members in the performance of their duties; to encourage fraternal, social, charitable and educational actives among law enforcement officers; to advocate and strive for uniform application of the civil service merit system for appointment and promotion;
to support the improvement of the standard of living and working conditions of the law enforcement profession through every legal and ethical means available; to create and maintain tradition of esprit de corps insuring fidelity to duty under all conditions and circumstances; to cultivate spirit of fraternalism and mutual helpfulness among our members and the people we serve; to increase the efficiency of the law enforcement profession and thus more firmly to establish the confidence of the public in the service dedicated to the protection of life and property.

We are in a temporary meeting facility due to the loss of our lease. We currently meet the 1st Saturday of every month, at 10:00 A.M. at our current venue, the Jokers Wild Casino located at 920 North Boulder Highway in Henderson NV.

Upon request, the Grand Lodge will assist local lodges/associations with collective bargaining issues and legislative actions. It should be noted that the Grand Lodge labor unit can be your bargaining agent.

Our monthly news letter Minutes are posted regularly on the website. Additionally, a quarterly Grand Lodge publication (FOP Journal) is mailed to all active members.

Activities
For the past nine years, Las Vegas Lodge #1 began holding monthly birthday parties at Child Haven. The party is held at 5:00 P.M. the 2nd Tuesday of each month. In 2017, the Lodge continued this program, utilizing volunteers to assist in serving these disadvantaged kids. Las Vegas Lodge #1 aims to expand its efforts to engage in community service in the coming years.

Each active duty member has the opportunity to purchase a legal defense plan, covering administrative, civil and criminal defense claims. Currently, the plan is offered at a rate of $312 per year.
A legal defense application is required to be sent to the Nevada State Lodge regardless of the method of payment, PayPal or check. Enrollment cannot be completed without the application document and will take 3-5 days to process. Don’t wait to sign up.

Our dues for calendar year 2019 are $80.00, or $40.00 for new members joining after June 30th. Annual renewals begin effective October 1st and continue through December 31st.
For faster processing, you can submit your application on line and pay your dues through Pay Pal. If you choose not to enroll and pay through Pay Pal, please download your application from the link provided under “Become a member”, print it out and submit application and your check payable to Las Vegas FOP Lodge 1 with the applicable amount. Mailing address and applicable dues are listed on the application.

The Fraternal Order of Police are the largest law enforcement organization in the United States, with over 385,000 members and more than 2,300 Lodges. Members receive a national FOP identification card, which authenticates membership within the Fraternal Order of Police.
